Is Your Insurance Agent Your Friend?

The number one excuse I hear from a potential client is: My agent is a friend. If I don't hear this from the business owner, I hear it from the screener of the calls.

I want to give you three reasons, not to live with this scenario.
  1. It's hard to say no to a friend, because you trust their advice.
  2. It will be almost impossible to question their recommendations.
  3. Usually you don't mind paying more because they are your friend.
Well, let me give you one reason to let me handle your manufacturing insurance. I am a manufacturer. I know your equipment, your products and your business. Formerly a metal stamping company CEO, President and owner for 25 years, I know how to insure you from pitfalls that can put your company out of business, or weaken it from the occasional loss that can set you back. I have signed the insurance contracts and written the checks to pay for Liability, Auto, Property, Casualty, Workers Comp and Umbrellas.

I handle all of the above insurance and more. My name is #DaleCongelliere and I am here to protect your company and its future. Give me a call today, 626-217-9000 ext. 125, easily we will quickly become friends. But I guarantee I will listen to you, and usually I can save you a good amount on your bottom-line. Because I have the knowhow and capacity to package all of your insurance coverages together, savings becomes a real by-product.

What Would Happen if Your Baby Broke Down?

OK. Your prize machine, that you have built the growth of your business around, is taken out of commission. You find out you can't fix it or have it replaced for twelve weeks!

What will you do? Send out your work to your competitor? Find another way to make them at 4 times the cost? Or, tell your customer "sorry you'll have to wait". In the meantime, your customer finds a competitor to keep him going. Now what? How much profit will you lose? Will you lose future business from your customer?

If this scenario, that happens quite often, keeps you awake now after I've presented it, I can help that. I've got the best sleeping pill ever! Give me a call, 626-217-9000 ext. 125; or email me at dale@pmiservices.com. You can follow me on twitter too, LossPreventDC.

How Will Manufacturing Be Affected by the 2012 Election?

The truth is, no one knows yet the effect yesterday's election will have on manufacturing in the un-United States of America. The split of the electorate is a tell-tale sign of this fact. The meaning of the re-election of President Obama, says many things.
  • One, people are confused and rightfully so. They have been promised so much that hasn't occurred.
  • Two, there are at least two ideas of how this nation should move going forward: 1)Do everything we can to fix the economy or 2) Let it ride!
  • Three, we can't count on our politicians to fix anything.
Then there is our mess in California! We are more than $2 Trillion in debt yet:
  •  One we are building a $200 billion high speed train we don't need and won't use.
  • Two, we can't say no to spending.
  • Three, we can't count on our politicians to fix anything.
So, here we are in the same mess we started with before the elections with no fix in sight. Our best guess on the affectation of the elections has to be the continuation of the status-quo. Hold on team, we just have to continue to hold on.

PMIS Welcomes Dale Congelliere

Precision Manufacturing Insurance Services (“PMIS”) is pleased to announce the addition of Dale Congelliere to the PMIS team. With over 30 years of hands-on manufacturing experience and past owner of Crenshaw Die & Manufacturing Corporation, Dale brings his understanding of the industry and his unique perspective to the aid of Orange County precision manufacturers.
From a tool and die apprenticeship in 1975 at 19, to the Board room as a founding Director of the California Metals Coalition (CMC) and active Board member of California Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) from 2002 to 2010, Congelliere will be able to offer insights to even seasoned business owners. “After selling my company a couple of years ago, taking a position at PMIS was a natural progression for me. PMIS allows me to give back to the industry that supported me and my family for so many years. I know I can use my experience to benefit other manufacturers and make a positive impact on their business” said Congelliere. As a fully trained insurance professional, Dale will help his clients mitigate the risks specific to the precision manufacturing industry.
Michael Dochterman, President and CEO of Precision Manufacturing Insurance Services, sums it up best, “We’re glad to have Dale bring his expertise to our team and represent PMIS in Orange County. He clearly knows how to support our mission to protect the future of precision manufacturers. After all, no one understands the needs of shop owners better than another shop owner.”
